St. Vincent School Night at ZUPAS Tonight!

April 17 from from 5 – 9 p.m.

Join us tonight for the first annual St. Vincent School night at Cafe ZUPAS Ft. Union, located at 1400 East Fort Union Blvd. Our school can receive up to 25% of the proceeds that night from 5 to 9 p.m. The more families who come, the more opportunity to reach our full earning potential. Simply tell the cashier you are there to support St. Vincent School and enjoy dinner-in or take-out!

Staging For Grandparents Day

Mr. Larrabee needs help setting up the staging for Grandparents Day. Setup will take place this Sunday, the 22nd of April starting at 1:00 p.m. The more people we have, the faster it will go. The hope is to be done by 3:00 or 3:30 p.m. Meet in the gym area.

Casino Royale Grandparents’ Day at Saint Vincent School: Friday, April 27th

  • 9 a.m. Mass at Saint Vincent Parish. If going to Mass, please arrive by 8:45 a.m. to be seated with your grandchildren.
  • 9:45 a.m. Continental Breakfast in Holy Family Hall (for grandparents, friends, and parents only)
  • 10:30 a.m. Musical Program in School Gym. Come see the entire school perform great music!

Grandparents or parents may check out their grandchildren after the performance, if they wish. Please let your child’s teacher know if s/he will be checked out after the show.

If you plan on attending the breakfast, need to RSVP at (801) 277-6702 ext. 0 by April 23th.

Volunteers Needed

Our Home and School Association is looking for volunteers to help with the Grandparents’ Day. This is a great way to get your required PIP hours.

Testing of St. Vincent Emergency System

On Thursday, April 19 at approximately 10:00 a.m., St. Vincent School will conduct a general testing of our emergency alert system. This system will only be used for communicating important messages and serious alerts to you.

Alerts will be sent out to the parents of the St. Vincent community. Parents should receive one, two, or all of the following forms of messaging: text message, phone call, and/or email.

This is only a TEST! Please DO NOT CONTACT THE SCHOOL unless you need to make changes to how you receive your alerts or if you do not receive the message.

Help Clean the Church on April 28!

On Saturday, April 28 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., the school is helping to clean the church. PIP hours will be given to the angelic souls who attend. Come for the whole time, or however long you are able. Please contact Mr. Green at if you can help.

Saint Vincent Library

This is just a reminder that the last day of Library for 8th grade students will be May 4th, and the last day for all other students is May 11th. Please make sure all books are returned.

Credit Card Payments

St. Vincent School has added the ability to take credit cards for school payments. If you would like to use a credit card for any tuition, fees, spirit wear, scrip, etc, we can now process those payments if you bring your card into the office. There will be an additional 2.5% service charge added to these payments. Online donations through our website and auction items purchased through Greater Giving will not incur a service charge.

Please help with our Easter season food collection project for KidsEat, an organization that gives weekend backpacks of food for at-risk children in the Salt Lake Valley. Attached are the food items we are asking each class to contribute. Thank you for your support!

Spirit Day

We will have a Spirit Day on Tuesday, April 24th. The theme for Spirit Day is Decades. Wear your clothes from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, or whichever decade you choose. If your child does not want to wear decades attire, St. Vincent spirit wear or colors are always acceptable on Spirit Days.

Talent Show: Tuesday, May 1st

Mark your calendars for our annual Talent Show on Tuesday, May 1st from 1:30 – 3:00 PM. Click here for the Talent Show 2018 entry form, or pick one up in the main office. There are only 30 slots available, so please do not delay getting entries in.

Duct Tape the Principal: May 2nd

Please note we have changed the date for Duct-Tape the Principal to May 2nd.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to duct tape our school principal, Mr. Green, to the shed! This is one of our most popular Party Board Events where you donate to give your student the opportunity to get two pieces of duct tape to hold up our beloved principal to the wall. We’ll also have the students guess in advance how many pieces of duct tape will be needed to hold up Mr. Green. A prize will be given for the closest estimate.

Date: Wednesday, May 2nd
Time: 11:15 to 1:15 p.m. during lunch & recess
Location: Pavilion Area (Holy Family Hall if the weather is bad)
Cost: $10 per student for two pieces of duct tape (donate as many times as you want!)

Middle School Reading Auction

Middle School Reading Auction; Donations needed by May 9th.
Donations are needed to reward our big time readers! What to donate? Anything a middle schooler likes to do, wear, or eat! Anything from major items to Scrip cards. Include the student’s name with the donation please, an event at the auction is just for the donors.

Mrs. Airriess is looking for volunteers to help with the reading auction for an hour or more. You may choose from the following tasks below. Please contact Mrs. Airriess at

  • Any day until May 4th Bring in donations and invite friends to do so.
  • Fri. May 4th 8:30-12:30;Sort items for Live &. Silent Auction.
  • Fri. May 4th to Tues. May 10th; Shop, with gift cards, for last minute items.
  • Tues. May 10th Write up bid cards with total earned for each student.
  • Wed. May 11th 8:30-11:30Set up tables with items.
  • Wed. May 11th 12:00-3:15 Collect payment from item winners and hand out prizes at the end.
  • Wed. May 11th: 2:30-3:15Manage the candy store.

Juan Diego and Judge Memorial Summer Athletic Camps and Clinics

Juan Diego is holding a boys’ basketball camp for boys entering 4th – 9th grade next school year. The camp runs June 4 – 7 from 9 a.m. to Noon in the Juan Diego main gym. Cost is $80, which includes a camp t-shirt.

Juan Diego and St. John the Baptist Catholic Schools are hosting the Soaring Eagle All Sports Camps. First session runs June 25 – 29 and second session runs July 9 – 13 at Juan Diego. Cost is $125 for the half-day session (8 a.m. to Noon or Noon to 4 p.m.) and $225 for the full-day session (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Sign up for any two sessions and receive $25 off. Sign up for two full-day sessions and receive $50 off. Registration deadline is May 18th.
