Auction Opportunity Drawing Kick-Off Assembly
This Thursday, December 14th your student(s) will receive their auction opportunity drawing tickets at the Casino Royale Opportunity Drawing Kick-Off Assembly (formerly known as the Raffle Assembly). The money raised benefits our school and helps to enhance our school programs, so we hope you will participate in this fundraiser opportunity!
Next Tuesday, December 19th will be our annual Saint Vincent Christmas Program. This celebration will take place at the Saint Vincent Church at 6:30 PM. Students are asked to be at the school at 6:00 PM.
Parking Lot Change (Spring Lane)
Beginning on Wednesday, January 3 , we are changing the parking lot routine in the Spring Lane lot. (We are delaying the start day in order to allow time for the word to get to everyone in our community.) The change is that the right side of the main entrance will be open. Before, only the exit was open. Those who enter through the main entrance will go to the left and park. Cars from the drop-off lane will be coming toward the exit, so it is important that those coming through the main entrance not cross the line of cars that will be exiting. (A map illustrating this change will be sent in next week’s blast.)
If you only need to go through the drop-off lane, continue to enter through the east entrance by Nano Nagle. We have consulted with the Unified Police Department about this change. We also plan to speak with a traffic consultant, so this new routine may be revised some. If you have any questions, please contact the front office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The school closely monitors the air quality each day using 3 sources. If the air quality is rated yellow or orange, we will have recess outdoors, but if the air quality is red, we will stay indoors. Please let us know if you would like your child to stay indoors when the air quality is yellow or orange.
Scrip – Gift Card Program
Don’t forget to purchase all your gift card needs through our scrip program. You may purchase the gift cards (scrip) anytime from now until December 20th at the school office or at the scrip table in the school gym. You may also email us your order at the school office at email@example.com and we will get it ready for you. If you have any questions, please contact Kim Snarr at the school office at 801-277-6702, Ext. 0.
Please note that there will be no homework lab next week, December 18th – 20th.
Strategy Game Club
This Friday, Aimee Toner will host the Strategy Game Club in the Art/Music Room, from 12:30 – 1:30PM.
# Social Media Campaign
We are starting up a # campaign for our school on social media. These will be used for school posts on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. We invite you to use the #s when sharing your school memories on social media.
The campaign will consist of a total of five #s with the first being #learningmakesmehappy (we have been using this # on posts since the beginning of the school year). The middle school voted and chose the remaining four. The winners are:
