Rice Bowl Collection

Every Lent, students in Catholic schools are given cardboard Rice Bowls in which to keep their donations for Catholic Relief Services. These donations help pay for the valuable ministries that Catholic Relief Services organizes. Fr. Norman blessed the students’ Rice Bowls at Mass last Friday. Beginning this Friday, students may bring their Rice Bowl contributions to school and the money will be deposited in the large school Rice Bowl during Mass. Please remind your students that they will have this opportunity every Friday until the Easter break.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: We will have a float in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 17th. Please plan to attend. Students get to dress in green and march in the parade, which is held downtown near the Gateway. More details will follow.

Girls on the Run

Registration is still open for GIRLS ON THE RUN programs.

Girls on the Run is a transformational, physical activity based, positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. The program will run from March 12th until June 2nd. Practices will be held at St. Vincent on Mondays from 3:30-5:15. Please visit for more information and to register.

Also, we are looking for volunteers to help with practice. Please contact Alli Gardner if you are interested.
