Bullying Harrassment Reminder

Parents/guardians are asked to notify the teacher or administration immediately if they suspect a student is being bullied or harassed, or is bullying or harassing others. Parents/guardians can do this via email, phone, or by using this Problem Solving Form.

St. Vincent School practices the discipline model of Restorative Justice. (For more information on Restorative Justice see this article and examples here). Restorative Justice does not omit consequences for an offender, but makes the consequences natural to the situation and ensures that the student processes the full impact of their actions. Punishment is not the focus because simply punishing students is not as effective for long-term behavior change. Restorative Justice is more difficult to implement, but is ultimately more effective at changing behavior. It also focuses on repairing relationships that have been damaged because of an incident.

Girls on the Run

Registration is still open for GIRLS ON THE RUN programs.

Girls on the Run is a transformational, physical activity based, positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. The program will run from March 12th until June 2nd. Practices will be held at St. Vincent on Mondays from 3:30-5:15. Please visit girlsontherunutah.org for more information and to register.
