So, this meeting is most pertinent to 5th, 6th, and 7th grade parents. In addition to discussing their ideas for next school year, Mr. Green and Mrs. Lambert will listen to suggestions.

Spirit Dress

Next Tuesday, March 26th is “TWIN” spirit day. If students do not want to dress up as a “TWIN”, they may wear St. Vincent School spirit wear.

Missoula Children’s Theatre Tryouts

Mark your calendars for Missoula Children’s Theatre Tryouts on Monday, April 1st after school. Students in grades kindergarten through 8 are invited to tryout. We are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Missoula Children’s Theatre coming for a residency at St. Vincent School. We are excited to announce the production will be The Secret Garden, an original Missoula Children’s Theatre rendition. It is a joyful retelling of a story of hope and celebration, and all good things in life.

Thank You — St. Patrick’s Day Float

A Big THANK YOU, to Tamara Shapiro for all her hard work in decorating and coordinating the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Float. The St. Vincent float won the award for best school entry!!! THANK YOU!

Auction Thank You & Pictures

Thank you to everyone who attended the auction! We are processing sales and will hopefully have news by next week to share.

We also want to thank and acknowledge the auction committee for all their dedication and hard work in helping us pull off another great event: Amy Burchette, Erin Arico, Ali Barber, Jeramie Green, and Megan Donohue. There were many volunteers who also stepped in and helped in so many areas, including coordinating the class projects, decorations, silent auction, set-up and tear-down; we could not have done the event without your help. THANK YOU!

The auction pictures are in the main office. If you purchased photos that evening, please stop by and pick up your fun memories.

OTHER CATHOLIC EVENTS

St. Mary’s in Park City Event: On April 5-6, St Mary’s in Park City is hosting best-selling author, Fr. Gaitley, for a Lenten retreat on Mary, Divine Mercy. This is a huge deal–he only accepts a few invitations each year and it is pretty exciting that he has chosen to come to Utah! A few of us from the Catholic Utah Team have already registered and we would love to see some familiar faces there! To learn more about Fr. Gaitley and this event, check out the Intermountain Catholic from last weekend–there is a great article about this event and how much it can help us in “bringing the faith from head to heart to life.” To register and find out more, please click here.

St. Catherine of Siena Events (all events are free and open to the public): Monday-Wednesday, March 25-27, at 6:30 pm: Come to a Lenten on-site retreat for busy people preached by Fr. Christopher Gray, SThD, at St. Catherine’s. It’s titled ‘Lamentations: Is It Just My Life That Sucks?’ This event is open to all. Fr. Gray will preach at all weekend masses March 23-24. The retreat will continue with talks and chanted prayer Monday through Wednesday.

Thursday, April 4 at 6:30pm: St. Catherine’s of Siena will host speaker Dr. Denis McNamara from the Liturgical Institute. He will present on How To Make A Church “Look Like” A Church: Sacramental Theology of Church Buildings. Dr. McNamara is an architect and art historian (Yale University, University of Virginia), teacher, speaker, and author of multiple books and articles. His academic specialties include the theology of liturgical art and architecture, classicism, and sacramental aesthetics. He co-founded the Liturgical Institute at Mundelein with our very own Msgr. Mannion.

Friday, April 5 at 4pm: Dr. McNamara will give a class/tour of the Cathedral, explaining sacramental symbols and architectural traditions.

Pregnancy Resource Center Event: On March 25, 26, and 27 at 7pm, the Pregnancy Resource Center is offering a FREE preview screening of the movie “Unplanned” at different locations throughout the valley each night. Tickets are free, but must be reserved by clicking here.

PIP Hours

Please remember to submit your PIP hours. You may record your PIP hours in ParentsWeb. Please contact the school office if you have any questions.

Referral Program

Our biggest marketing tool is YOU! Click here to learn how you can earn $500 by referring a new family to attend our school.

Rice Bowls

Every Lent, students in Catholic schools are given cardboard Rice Bowls in which to keep their donations for Catholic Relief Services. These donations help pay for the valuable ministries that Catholic Relief Services organizes. Each Friday in Lent beginning March 22, students may bring their Rice Bowl contributions to school and the money will be deposited in the large school Rice Bowl during Mass. Please remind your students that they will have this opportunity every Friday until the Easter break.
