New Items, Reminders, and Upcoming Deadlines
Mrs. Giselle Airriess
Mrs. Airriess, our school librarian, is retiring at the end of this school year. She has been a part of our community for 19 years! St. Vincent School is very thankful to Mrs. Airriess for her years of hard work in running the library, leading classes, tutoring students, and for instilling in the students a love of books. We wish her the best of luck with her retirement and will miss her.
All parents should have received their Tuition Payment Contracts during Parent/Teacher Conferences. If you did not receive this information, please click below to find a copy of the contract. We would like to have all contracts returned to the office by this Friday, March 23, 2018. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Note about the New Tuition Scale
At the School Board meeting last week, we spoke about one point that is confusing about the new tuition scale: People understand that the tuition and salary scales are established by the diocese, but there was a question as to whether or not any portion of the additional funds that will come in go to the diocese for use at other schools. The answer is no. All money that you pay and will pay in tuition is used by St. Vincent de Paul Parish School.
The confusion may have stemmed from people misunderstanding the diocesan assessment. This assessment is based on the amount of money a parish receives from its collections and is paid directly to the diocese. The assessment money is allotted to Catholic schools in our diocese based on need.

Information You Want to Know about Discipline
This is the last of 3 installments Mrs. Lambert and I have prepared on discipline. We have included these in the blast emails because discipline is the top area in which we receive questions from parents. I highly encourage you to read everything we have included, in particular, if you have ever felt that the school is too easy or too hard on students who break the rules. Please contact us if you have any questions that are not answered here (Gary Green, firstname.lastname@example.org or 801-527-2042; Sarah Lambert, email@example.com or 801-527-2069).
