No School Friday, October 14th. Extended Daycare will be open. Any kids attending Extended Day will need to bring their lunch.
The Chess Club will meet Thursday, October 13th from 3:15 – 4:00 PM.
Make-Up Picture Day
Picture make-up day will be Thursday, October 20th. If you child missed picture day or you would like re-takes, please have your child(ren) in full dress uniform. (Jumpers or skirts for girls; vests and long pants for boys) If your child has re-takes, s/he must return their picture packet in full.
We will be collecting Box Tops from all classrooms this Thursday, October 13th in the morning. Thank you!
Scout Candy and Snacks Sale
The St. Vincent Scouts will be selling candy and snacks after school on Thursday, October 13th at the Pavilion. Prices start at $1. The money raised supports the Cub Scout program. Please come treat yourself and help the scouts!
We invite all parents to attend our 5th annual Trivia Night, which will be held in the Benvegnu Center on November 4th at 6:30 p.m. (Questions start at 7:00 p.m.) Round up your friends to make a table of 8 or we can seat you with others. This is a no-host event where you bring your own food and drinks to share with your table. Cost is $15 per person. As you eat, drink, and socialize you will discuss as a team and record your answer to the different trivia questions. The top teams will get prizes. This is a fun event, so please download the reservation form and turn into the office by November 1st:

Parent Teacher Conferences will be Thursday, October 27th and Friday, October 28th. We are using Volunteer Spot to sign up for the conferences. If you have not yet signed up, you will need to do so no later than Friday, October 21st. Please click on the link below to view your child’s grade and sign up. If you would like to meet with any of the specialized teachers (Spanish, music, advanced math, computer, PE) please email the office at email@example.com. We will have the specified teacher contact you with available times.

St. Vincent’s Fall Book Fair – Get ready for the Holiday Season!

Please bring a bottle of wine or spirits to the parent teacher conferences at the end of October, which will be donated to the 80’s Rewind Auction. These donations will be used to make fun spirit baskets for our silent auction. Baskets will be in each classroom to collect your donation.
In addition, sign up sheets will be on each classroom door telling you what the themed basket is for your classroom. Please look at the list, and sign up to bring one item for your child’s classroom basket. Thank you.
October’s All-School Mass Collection
The All-School Mass for October will be held Wednesday, October 19th at 9:00 a.m. on the Feast of Saint Isaac Jogues. The 5th grade will host Mass and a Bible Ceremony. A reception will follow in the Benvegnu Center. The collection from the Mass will benefit The National Ability Center in Park City, Utah. The National Ability Center empowers individuals of all abilities by building self-esteem, confidence, and lifetime skills through sport, recreation, and educational programs.
Saint Vincent Basketball Sign-Ups
UCAA Basketball season is upon us! UCAA is the Utah Catholic Athletic Association. UCAA offers a recreation league for our parishioners and parish school students. Please click on the link provided to register. Registrations will remain open until Friday, October 21st. Fees for grades 3rd – 8th are set at $100.00; includes 10 games, playoffs, and a new uniform. Fees for 2nd grade and High School are $75.00 and includes 8 games and uniforms, as well as playoffs for the high school teams.

Mark Your Calendars – Spaghetti Dinner (before Halloween Carnival)
The Knights of Columbus are having a Spaghetti Dinner on October 29th from 5:30 – 8:00 PM in the Holy Family Hall. Please stop by before or during the Halloween Carnival. ($5 per person; kids 13 years and under free)
The annual Saint Vincent Halloween Carnival will be held in the gym on October 29th from 6:00 – 8:00PM. Admission is $4 per person or $10 per family. Please support the Knights spaghetti dinner and then come to the carnival. Show off costumes and enjoy, fun, games and treats.

The students of St. Vincent School will be collecting food for the Saint Vincent Parish Food Pantry.

Toy Donations Needed
Almost five years ago, a cousin of St. Vincent graduates Chris and Tess McTeague was born with a heart abnormality. Thanks to a life saving surgery and amazing care provided by the doctors and nurses at Primary Children’s Hospital, today, their cousin is a happy and healthy little girl.The McTeague family contributes a tree every year to the Festival of Trees, which benefits Primary Children’s Hospital.This year, the family is constructing a large Santa sleigh that will be filled with toys. The sleigh and all the toys will be auctioned off during a silent auction on the opening night of the Festival. All proceeds from this donation go to help the children at Primary Children’s Hospital and their families. In addition, gifts from tree displays typically are donated back to children at Primary Children’s Hospital.
Please help Primary Children’s Hospital with this valuable project by donating toys for the sleigh. Unwrapped toys may be placed in collection boxes at either entrance to the school. The last day to leave the toys is November 14. Thank you for your help!

Once a month, the Advancement Office sends out a Grandparents’ blast email letting them know about monthly events and volunteer opportunities.
