Blessing of the Animals: October 5th

Friday, October 5th at 11:45 a.m. is our annual Blessing of the Animals where we honor St. Francis of Assisi and celebrate his love of all creation. Families can bring their pets (dogs, cats, fish, hamsters etc.) to be blessed in the pavilion area. If you cannot make it with your pet, your child is welcome to bring a picture of their pet that they can have blessed.

Flu Shots: October 12th

Please register for the Flu Shot Clinic no later than today Tuesday, October 2nd.

Community Nursing Services (CNS) will be administering flu shots from noon until 2 p.m. in the Holy Family Hall on Friday, October 12th. CNS can bill most insurance companies, or cash payment will be $35 for the Flu Shot (High Dose is $50 for ages 65 and older).

Oktoberfest: Saturday, October 13, 2018

6:00-11:00 pm in the St. Vincent de Paul Benvegnu Center.
$35 per person (includes food, drink and entertainment) Adults only.

Lifetouch Pictures

If you wish to have your child retake their pictures or if you missed picture day, we will have picture retakes on October 16th. (Please have your child bring in his/her packet to school on October 16 if your child is having retakes.) Please contact the school office with any questions.

No School, October 19

Please note that Friday, October 19th is fall break; there are no classes. This includes Extended Day. We will have early dismissal (12:30 PM)on Thursday, October 18th.

Homework Lab Change

Please note that the Homework Lab for grades 3, 4, and 5 will be changing. Effective the week of October 29th, Homework Lab for these grades will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, but not on Thursdays. (We made this change because a large number of students were coming without work on Thursdays as they had finished their work over the previous three days.) Please contact the school office with any questions.

St. Vincent 1 Million Minute Challenge

Thanks to everyone who has been reading and logging their minutes on our Beanstack account. Here’s an update of what we’ve accomplished as a school community:

Students reaching 1000 minutes by the end of the quarter will receive a prize and students reading more that 1000 minutes will receive additional incentives.

Parent Teacher Conferences: October 25 & 26

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be Thursday, October 25th and Friday, October 26th, except for Pre-K 4 who will start their Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday. We are using Volunteer Spot to sign up for the conferences. Please click your child’s classroom link below to sign up. If you would like to meet with any of the specialized teachers (Middle School Math, Spanish, Music, Computer, P.E.), please email them directly to set up a time. Saint Vincent Fall Book Fair

Basketball Sign Ups Grades 2-8

CYO (formerly known as Utah Catholic Atheletic Association) Basketball season is upon us! CYO is the Catholic Youth Organization. CYO offers a recreation league for our parishioners and parish school students. Please click on the link below to register. Registrations will remain open until Friday, October 19th. Fees for 3rd – 8th grade are $100.00 and 2nd grade and High School are $75. This includes a new uniform. You may drop off the school fees to the school office. If you would like to pay with a credit card there is an additional 2.5% fee. We will send you the basketball schedule when it becomes available to us.

In order to play CYO you have to:

  1. Be a student at the school
  2. Be a member of St. Vincent Parish
  3. Be a student/parishioner of a school/church that doesn’t have a team for your age group.

Extended Day Now Hiring

Extended Day provides after-school childcare for grades pre-k through 8th grade. We are currently hiring part-time caregivers/teachers for after school Monday through Friday.
