Box Tops

HSA will be collecting box tops on Monday, November 13th. Children may turn in box tops in their classrooms.


We will have the lost-and-found items by the front office during Parent/Teacher Conferences. (Please write your children’s names in their clothing as we promptly return any items that have a name.)

Service Week

In honor of All Souls Day (Nov. 2nd), we welcome families to pledge some service time in honor of a loved one that has passed away. Fill out the attached heart template and send back to school before Nov. 8th. You may complete the hours on your own time or join us on Saturday, November 4th anytime from 9-11AM at the Carmelite Monastery (5714 Holladay Blvd., Salt Lake City, UT 84121 ) to rake leaves for the Carmelite Nuns. Attached are other ideas on how you might complete your service hours. Students will be doing various service activities at school the week of Nov. 6-10.
The school will also be having a food drive and winter clothing drive starting the first week of November. Feel free to count your time spent gathering and bringing cans and clothing for the drive as your service hours too.

Halloween Carnival/Spaghetti Dinner

The annual Saint Vincent Halloween Carnival will be held in the gym this Saturday, October 28th from 6:00 – 8:00PM. Admission is $3 per child. Please support the Knights’ spaghetti dinner and then come to the carnival. Show off costumes and enjoy, fun, games and treats. Students may not bring weapons (fake or real) or have any items that include blood.

St. Vincent Basketball

Basketball fees are due by Friday, October 27th. Please bring the fees to the school office. Make checks payable to St. Vincent. Fees for grades 3rd – 8th grade are $100.00; Fees for 2nd grade and High School are $75.00.

Parent Alert System

Recently a test of our Parent Alert System through RenWeb was implemented. This system will be utilized for any school closures or emergency messaging. Several families noted that they did not receive the test communication. We will be testing the system again next Tuesday, October 31st, at 10:00 AM. If you do not receive an alert via text, it is very likely that your cell phone is not registered to receive alerts. In this case, it will be very important that your cell phone number be registered with the RenWeb system. Text – start to 22383.

PIP Hours

The Leadership Team (composed of Mr. Green, Mrs. Lambert, Mrs. Reiser, Mrs. Zdybowicz, Mrs. Haney, and Mrs. Howa-Johnson) and the School Board discussed changing the PIP volunteer requirement for parents who are raising one or more children by themselves (meaning that there is no shared custody or help from a co-parent.) For parents who have this family situation, the PIP requirement has been lowered to 10 hours. (The regular requirement is 20 hours per family of students in kindergarten-8th grade, and 10 hours for Pre-K families.)

Picture Make Up Day

Picture make-up day will be Monday, October 30th. If your child missed picture day or you would like re-takes, please have your child(ren) in full dress uniform. (Jumpers or skirts for girls; vests and long pants for boys) If your child has re-takes, s/he must return their picture packet in full. You may pick up a new packet to fill out in the school office. Lifetouch will start at 9:00 AM.

Bake Sale: Friday, October 27th

Natalie, Abbey, and Andrew Bowers are helping to raise money for some family friends who lost everything in the Santa Rosa fires. Their family, including a daughter in 7th grade and a son in 4th grade, had just 3 minutes to evacuate their house at 1 AM. They left with the clothes on their backs. There is nothing that remains of their house and belongings. We’d like to help them get back on their feet. We will be holding a bake sale Friday, October 27, after school in the pavilion. Everything is $1. See you next Friday!

6th Annual Trivia Night

The 6th Annual Trivia Night will be held in the Benvegnu Center on Friday, November 10th from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Get your table together and test your trivia knowledge. Tickets are $15 per person (Adults Only). You and your group bring appetizers and drinks to share and socialize at your table. As trivia questions are read, you discuss amongst your table to then jot down your answer. Doors open at 6:30 pm. and question rounds begin at 7:00 p.m., so don’t be late! Prizes will be awarded to top teams. Reservation forms are online here or in the school office.
