Friday, October 6th at 12:00 p.m. This is a celebration that honors St. Francis of Assisi in which we bless our animals. Families are asked to bring their pets (dogs, cats, fish, hamsters etc.) to be blessed at 12:00 p.m. in the pavilion area. If you cannot make it with your pet, your child is welcome to bring a picture of their pet that they can have blessed.
Say Boo to the Flu Clinic
Get your flu shots at the annual flu clinic on Friday, October 6th from Noon to 3:00 p.m. in the Benvegnu Center for those that RSVP’d by Sept. 26. Community Nursing Services (CNS) will be administering this year’s shots and can bill most insurance companies, or cash payment will be $35 for the flu shot. Please note, CNS will NOT be administering the flu mist vaccine this year.
Free Dress Pass Day
Tuesday, October 10th is free dress pass day for those that have a free dress coupon from one of their teachers. Free dress should always be modest and not reflect any messages or images that are inappropriate for our school environment.
Friday, October 13th in the Benvegnu Center. First beverage served at 7:00 p.m.
$35 per person (includes food, drink and entertainment). Adults only.

End of 1st Quarter/Report Cards
The end of 1st quarter is Thursday, October 19th. Report cards will be sent home on Tuesday, October 24th.
All School Mass Days
All School Masses are held each Friday at 9:00 a.m. where all of the children in the school go to Mass together. One grade is responsible for the readings, taking up the gifts, etc. These are beautiful Masses and we encourage parents to attend, especially if their child’s grade is hosting. We will also be celebrating Mass on Thursday, October 19th. Second grade will host in honor of our saint of the month, St. Mary Magdalene.
Friday, October 20th for fall break.
Spirit Dress Day
Will be held on Tuesday, October 24th. The “theme” for the month is Team Spirit! Wear any team spirit gear. If you play on a team with other classmates, you can wear your team jerseys, team colors, or Saint Vincent spirit wear/colors.
The annual Scholastic Book Fair runs Wednesday, October 25th through Friday, October 27th in the school library. Support the library and school by purchasing a book or two. This is a great place to purchase books for your child, and they make great Christmas presents! The library will also have a “wish list” for each teacher/grade if you want to purchase one of these books for the classroom.
Thursday, October 26th and Friday, October 27th beginning at 1:00 p.m. There is a 12:30 p.m. dismissal on both Thursday and Friday. Please sign-up for a specific time online. Watch for details in an upcoming blast. Don’t forget there is a book fair in the library from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on these days. In addition, please plan on purchasing gift cards to be used for “An Evening at Casino Royale” auction baskets. There will be “wish list” order sheets in each classroom. Attach a check and leave with your teacher that night, or see Kat in the office during school hours. Participation will count towards your Parent Scrip Participation Program requirements.
Middle School Dance
For 7th or 8th graders, will be held on Friday, October 27th at Our Lady of Lourdes from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. Please have your student bring their picture ID.
8th Grade Mass at the Cathedral
Friday, October 27th at 10:00 a.m. the 8th grade will attend Mass at the Cathedral of the Madeleine with all the 8th graders from our Utah Catholic Schools.
Saturday, October 28th in the school gym from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This is a fun event for children (and adults) to show off their costumes and play games for treats and prizes. Cost is $3 per person. The Knights of Columbus will also be hosting a dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Holy Family Hall. Cost is $5 per person age 14 and up, FREE for ages 13 and under. Family and friends are invited.
Picture Make-Up Day
Picture make-up day is Monday, October 30th. If your student was absent on picture day in September, then just come to pictures with an order form. Full uniform required (shirt with logo, vest for middle school students, jumpers or skirts for girls, long pants for boys). Please have your child bring their old photo packet to school if they are getting retakes.
“An Evening at Casino Royale” is our theme for this year’s annual auction. RESERVATIONS BEGIN IN NOVEMBER so watch for your invitation to come home with your student. We are also currently seeking items to be donated to our auction for our silent and live auctions. If you have an item to donate, please bring it to the school office.
