Missoula Children’s Theatre Presents “The Secret Garden” Performances This Saturday

St. Vincent School is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Missoula Children’s Theatre coming for a residency. This is a free, week-long performing arts program after school running April 1st – 6th. We are excited to announce the production will be The Secret Garden, an original Missoula Children’s Theatre rendition. It is a joyful retelling of a story of hope and celebration and all good things in life.

We are looking for people/organizations to help sponsor MCT as it costs $3,400 to bring the team here. Please contact our development director, Therese Clay, at 801-527-2043 or if you would like to be a sponsor.

Performances are on this Saturday, April 6th at 12:30 and 3:00 p.m. in the school gym. Admission is $8.00, children under 3 are free. General seating, doors open at 12:00 and 2:30 p.m.  We hope to see you there!


Saint Vincent School will host 4 karate sessions on Wednesdays – April 11, April 18, April 25, and May 2 – from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. The classes are open to students in grades K through 8. Volunteers Needed

We still need a few volunteers to help with the Diocesan Band Fest. We have over 200 students coming. It is very exciting, but Mr. Larrabee needs help. It is Thursday, April 11, from 8:00 AM until 1:30 PM. If you could help with any or part of the Diocesan Band Fest, please contact Mr. Larrabee at This is a great way to get you required PIP hours.

Basketball Clinics

Coach Tom Hicks will lead basketball clinics in the St. Vincent Gym on Thursday, April 11 and on Thursday, April 25, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. 5th and 6th grade girls and boys are invited. Ask anyone who has worked with our amazing 5th grade girls coach, and they will say how well he interacts with children, and that he is among the best coaches they have seen!

Fish Fry

Join the Saint Vincent de Paul Parish for a Lenten Fish Fry next Friday, April 12th from 4:30 – 7:00 PM in the Holy Family Hall. Click here for the flyer.

Your student can spend the morning with fellow friends and our super librarian, Anna Zanarini, celebrating favorite friends from Mo Williems’ books. Mo Willems is an American writer, animator, voice actor, and creator of children’s books. This library bash will offer stories, crafts, games, and treats.

Grandparent’s Day

Sci-Fi ‘n Superhero Grandparents’ Day at Saint Vincent School on Friday, May 3rd.

  • 9 a.m. Mass at Saint Vincent Parish. If going to Mass, please arrive by 8:45 a.m. to be seated with your grandchildren.
  • 9:45 a.m. Continental Breakfast in Holy Family Hall (for grandparents, friends, and parents only)
  • 10:30 a.m. Musical Program in School Gym. Come see the entire school perform great music!

Regional Spelling Bee

We would like to recognize and congratulate our school’s two representatives in the Regional Spelling Bee competition, which took place on March 23. Catalina Reichard, grade 6, placed 17 out of approximately 250 students from around the county and Sam Gustafson, grade 7, placed among the first 50 best spellers in the county. Well done!

Accountant Needed at St. Vincent de Paul Parish School

Our accountant of more than 20 years, Jody Gibson, is retiring. We wish her the best of luck with her relaxing time off!

We are looking for a new accountant to work 30-35 hours per week. Previous bookkeeping experience is necessary. Pay is based on experience. Tasks include managing payroll and accounts payable, posting deposits, reconciling accounts, creating monthly financial reports, preparing financial information for quarterly Finance Council Meetings, helping prepare the annual budget, and other tasks. Vacation Bible School

It’s almost that time again! Make sure you have the week of July 15-19, 2019 from 8:45 AM – Noon on your calendar for a fun filled week at VBS! Youth Pre-K thorugh 5th grade are invited to join together for a week of faith, fun, and friendship. Watch for more information and registration information coming soon.
