Spring Concert

St. Vincent School presents our annual Spring Concert tonight, April 30th, at 6:00 PM in the school gym.

Volunteers Needed

Mr. Larrabee needs set-up help for Grandparents’ Day on the morning of Wednesday, May 1st. (The program is actually on Friday though.) Please contact Mr. Larrabee at 801-527-2056 or slarrabe@stvincents-school.org.

Sci-Fi ‘n Superhero Grandparents’ – Friday, May 3rd

  • 9 a.m. Mass at Saint Vincent Parish. If going to Mass, please arrive by 8:45 a.m. to be seated with your grandchildren.
  • 9:45 a.m. Continental Breakfast in Holy Family Hall (for grandparents, friends, and parents only)
  • 10:30 a.m. Musical Program in School Gym. Come see the entire school perform great music!

Goodbye to Kat Mitchell, Our Office Manager & Welcome to Our Employees

Kat Mitchell, our office manager for the past four years, and co-winner of last year’s Outstanding Employee Award, is moving on to pursue other exciting opportunities. The school thanks Kat for her tireless effort and expertise in keeping the school running smoothly. Good luck, Kat!

We would like to welcome Erin Arico and Michelle Allred to the St. Vincent team.

Erin Arico has graciously accepted the position of Office Manager. She and her husband, Joe, have been parents within our community for two years. This past year, she devoted countless hours to helping our auction committee. She comes to us with a wealth of experience in office and construction management. We are excited to have her managing the front office, and serving within our community as a coordinator, communicator, nurse, and greeter.

Michelle Allred has over 20 years of bookkeeping and human resources experience. She, her husband, and daughter, Andrea, have been a part of our community for 3 years. Michelle has been an active parent volunteer in art and library classes. We are excited to utilize her experience, and have her serving within our community as our Accountant.

St. Vincent Annual Talent Show

The Annual Talent Show will be Wednesday, May 8th (Kindergarten – 8th grade). The last day to sign up will be Friday, May 3rd. Due to time constraints, we cannot accept more than 30 acts. Acts need to be 3 minutes or less. Please contact the school office if you have any questions.

Student Fees and Automatic Withdrawal

All fees are due on June 5th. Fees will be automatically deducted from your tuition account. If you do not have a tuition account set up, fees will need to be brought to the office by June 5th. The fees for the 2019-2020 school year are as follows:

  • Student Services Fee: K-8th grade, $175 per child (Includes student insurance, Diocesan fees, textbooks, standardized tests, technology fee, workbooks, and yearbook)
  • Math Fee: 6th – 8th grade, $175 per child
  • Graduation Fee: 8th grade only, $75
  • Chromebook License: 6th-8th grade, $30 per child

Please note: If you need to change your Automatic Tuition Withdrawal information for the 2019-2020 school year, click below to access the required form. You may email it or bring it to the school office. If you do not send in a change form, we will use the current account on file.

May Crowning

The May Crowning Ceremony for Saint Vincent de Paul Parish School will be Thursday, May 9th at 2:15 PM. The ceremony will take place in the outside amphitheater (in the gym if weather is bad).

Please bring PLANTABLE flowers to place in front of Mary at our ceremony. Plants will be planted on the school grounds after the ceremony to make our grounds beautiful. Thank you!

School Parent Survey

Parents and Guardians,

Here is a link to our annual survey. This is a different survey than has been given in past years. Next year will begin the new 5-year strategic planning process for the school. To help best inform this process to benefit the whole school, we have contracted with Apex Research, an outside firm. This will help us to best anonymously collect information that will help us to grow and improve our school community.

The survey was created by the School Board’s Executive and Strategic Planning Committee. The results will be used by the School Board to create a School Improvement Plan. Once the results have been received and reviewed, they will be promulgated. Please complete the survey by Friday, May 3, 2019 to make sure that your voice is heard. At St. Vincent de Paul Parish School it is important that every stakeholder contribute to the Strategic Plan through this survey.

Used Uniform Sale

You may start bringing in your gently used uniforms (no holes, no broken buttons or zippers) in a bag labeled with your name to the school office. Those donating will receive FREE DRESS for the last week of school! If you are in 8th grade, you will receive your FREE DRESS starting May 13th. We will be collecting used uniforms until Wednesday, May 15th.

Used uniforms will be sold on Saturday, May 18th from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM and May 20th before (8:00 – 9:00 AM) and after school (6:00 – 7:30 PM) in the school gym. This is a great way to save money!

HSA will need help the week before the sale to set up, as well as during the sales times, and help with after for clean-up. Remember, volunteers get first pick! 🙂 Please contact Cristy Headey at cheadey@icloud.com.

Lost and Found

We will display the lost-and-found items during the used uniform sale in the GYM. Please look through those items to see if any of them belong to you. Any items left in the lost-and-found after Friday, May 24th will be donated to a charity.

Dunk Tank the Principal Fundraiser

Announcing our newest fundraising event: Dunk Tank the Principal! Just One Week Away!

Your student(s) will get the chance to show appreciation to Mr. Green and/or Mrs. Lambert during teacher appreciation week by taking chances to Dunk Tank the Principal. The event will take place next Tuesday, May 7th starting at 1:30 p.m. in the Pavilion. Cost is $10 for 2 chances (ball throws). Purchase as many chances for your child(ren) as you want! Please purchase your chances by Monday, May 6th. Payments can be made in the office with cash, check, or credit card (2.5% will be added to your credit card). Click here to purchase tickets.

Tent Event/Campout Party Board

What could be more fun than camping out under the stars with Saint Vincent families right in our own backyard? Yes, that’s right! Come and enjoy the fun that features roasting marshmallows, campfire songs, badminton, cornhole, kickball, and volleyball! This blowout is a Saint Vincent family favorite!
The event includes a home-cooked dinner of smoked pork sandwiches, hamburgers and hot dogs, s’mores, hot chocolate, and a delicious breakfast (stay overnight or come back in the morning). BYOB please!

Middle School Reading Auction

Middle School End of Year Reading Party — Friday, May 10 at 10:15am
Prize Donations Requested

We are looking for donations of new or gently used books of interest to middle school students as well as small prizes or gift cards that the kids can use their reading points to purchase. We are hoping for a more low key event this year (no live auction), but would love to have a variety of items of interest to those who logged minutes. KidsEat Food Collection

Please help with our KidsEat food collection project, an organization that gives weekend backpacks of food for at-risk children in the Salt Lake Valley. Attached are the food items we are asking each class to contribute. Thank you for your support.
