8th Grade Graduation

In celebration of our 8th grade graduates, we will have an all school clap-out tomorrow, May 15th, at 11:30 AM. Congratulations to our 8th grade graduating class!

Farewell Party for Mr. Radu & Mrs. Gibson

Please join us on Wednesday, May 22 at 5:30 under the pavilion as we say goodbye to and thank Mr. Radu Noaghiu (Music, 20 years) and Mrs. Jody Gibson (Accountant, 22 years) for their many years of service. Welcome, Cindy de Roda!

We are happy to announce that the school has hired Cindy de Roda as our Spanish teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. She has her Masters Degree in Education and her Bachelors Degree in Spanish. Mrs. de Roda taught at Juan Diego High School for 7 years, at Treasure Mountain Junior High School for 5 years, and at St. John the Baptist Middle School for 2 years. We are very fortunate to have Mrs. De Roda on our team!

iPads

We are selling our batch of iPads. These iPads are iPad 3rd Generation with 32GB hard drives. The last IOS update available is 9.3.5. If you are interested in purchasing an iPad for $30, please contact Mrs. Sloan at asloan@stvincents-school.org. Payment can be made to the office. First come, first serve.

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who donated towards our Dunk Tank the Principal fundraiser. Principal Green and Vice Principal Lambert took many dunks in the tank by your skilled students. We raised $840!

Summer Camp

This is a reminder that if you are planning on having your child attend our Summer Camp at Extended Day, you will need to register your child by May 17th so we may staff and plan accordingly. For any questions, please contact Danielle Gibson at 801-527-2033. You may pick up a registration form at the office or click here to download it.

Vacation Bible School

Please click here to download the Vacation Bible School Registration Form. Vacation Bible School will be July 15-19. You may drop the registration form at the school office or take it the the church rectory. The deadline to register will be Friday, June 3, 2019

End of the Year Field Day

Field Day for students in grades K-7th will be on Thursday, May 23rd from 9:15 to 11:30am. After games on the field, the school will provide pizza for lunch from 11:30 to 12:15. Students will eat in the Pavilion and playground areas. Please send sunscreen and a water bottle with your student(s).

Volunteers Needed

Our Home and School Association is still looking for volunteers to help with the used uniform sale this Saturday, May 20th from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. This is a great way to get your PIP hours. Please contact Cristy Headey at cheadey@icloud.com.

Student Fees and Automatic Withdrawal

All fees are due on June 5th. Fees will automatically be deducted from your tuition account. If you do not have a tuition account set up, fees will need to be brought to the office by June 5th. The fees for the 2019-2020 school year are as follows:

  • Student Services Fee: K-8th grade, $175 per child (Includes student insurance, Diocesan fees, textbooks, standardized tests, technology fee, workbooks, and yearbook.)
  • Math Fee: 6th – 8th grade, $175 per child
  • Graduation Fee: 8th grade only, $75
  • Chromebook License: 6th-8th grade, $30 per child

Please note: If you need to change your Automatic Tuition Withdrawal information for the 2019-2020 school year, click here to download the required form. You may email it or bring it to the school office. If you do not send in a change form, we will use the current account on file.

Used Uniform Sale

You may start bringing in your gently used uniforms (no holes, no broken buttons or zippers) in a bag labeled with your name to the school office. Those donating will receive FREE DRESS for the last week of school! If you are in 8th grade, you will receive your FREE DRESS starting May 13th. Tomorrow, May 15th, is the last day to bring in used uniforms.

Used uniforms will be sold on Saturday, May 18th from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM and May 20th before (8:00 – 9:00 AM) and after school (6:00 – 7:30 PM) in the school gym. This is a great way to save money!

HSA will need help the week before the sale to set up, as well as during the sales times, and help with after for clean-up. Remember, volunteers get first pick! 🙂 Please contact Cristy Headey at cheadey@icloud.com.

Please note that you may pay for your used uniform purchases by cash, check, or credit card.

Lost and Found

We will display the lost-and-found items during the used uniform sale in the GYM. Please look through those items to see if any of them belong to you. Any items left in the lost-and-found after Friday, May 24th will be donated to a charity.

PIP Hours

Please remember to submit your PIP hours through ParentsWeb. Any incomplete PIP hours for families will be billed to them on June 5th. For each incomplete hour you will be billed $10. Please contact the school office for any questions.

Summer Math Books

The school highly recommends that all students who are entering grades 1-8 complete the Summer Math book. Regular math skill practice will help your child(ren) maintain the growth that was accomplished throughout the year and help them start the next year on a strong foundation. Summer Math books are $15.00. Homeroom teachers will pass out the summer math books the last week of school. You may come into the school office to pay for the Summer Math book or send in payment with you child. Please contact the school office with any questions.

Completed books will be turned in on the first day of school in the fall. Questions regarding math books may be directed to your child’s teacher.

St. Vincent Library News

Elementary School End-of-Year Reading Celebration: Monday, May 20 at 2:15 p.m.
Students who have cumulatively logged more than 4000 minutes this year are invited to a special Harry Potter themed reading party. Volunteers are needed to help. Please email Mrs. Zanarini if you would be available to help that afternoon at azanarini@stvincents-school.org. We will be celebrating the reading accomplishments of all those students who have not logged more than 4000 minutes in library class time during the week of May 13-16.

Scholastic BOGO Summer Reading Book Fair: 
Saturday, May 18 from 9am–1pm and Monday, May 20 from 8am–7:30pm
In conjunction with the Used Uniform Sale, we will be having a Buy One, Get One Free Book Fair from Scholastic so that kids can stock up on books for the summer! The library and school will receive no profit from this fair, but would like to offer the opportunity for kids to choose fun and affordable books for summer reading.
